I'm blessed by some wonderful friends in the writing business. Please check out some of them below and click on their names to visit their websites.
Cecil ("Cec") Murphey
Cec is my writing mentor and a role model to probably hundreds of aspiring writers. He has written over 100 (no, that's not a typo) books on a variety of topics but with an emphasis on Spiritual Growth, Christian Living, and Caregiving. In these books, he shares his personal experiences as he strives to be closer to God and to seek His will.
Some of his ghostwritten books are being made into movies, and some have sold millions of copies. Some highlight well-known personalities such as Franklin Graham, B. J. Thomas, and Shaun Alexander. Others share compelling stories of people who have used their talents to express their love while inspiring greatness in themselves and those around them.
Two of Cec's recent books are: Committed But Flawed: Seeking New Ways to Grow Spiritually and Aging Is an Attitude: Positive Ways to Look at Getting Older.
Jennifer Schuchmann
Jennifer is an accomplished writer, trainer, and speaker noted for creative and practical approaches to business and spiritual topics. She holds an MBA from Emory University with an emphasis in marketing and communications and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Memphis.
A full-time freelance writer for the past eight years, Jennifer has won awards for her inspirational writing and recently for play writing. Check out her recent book, Your Unforgettable Life: Only You Can Choose the Legacy You Leave, co-authored with Craig Chapin, which will be published by Beacon Hill Press in the summer of 2005.
Nanette Thorsen-Snipes

Nan is the best freelance editor I know, and she is an award-winning writer. She is the author of Elijah and the Widow Concordia Publishing, 2001, and her work appears in numerous compilation books, including the Soul Matters series by J Countryman, 2005; Gods Way series by White Stone Books, 2003-2004; Heart of a Teacher, Bethany House, 2005; and Chicken Soup books, Health Communications, 2000, 2002, among others. She has also published dozens of articles in such publications as Advanced Christian Writer, Mature Living, Woman's World, The Lookout and Power for Living.
Nan is a member of The Christian PEN (a proofreaders and editors network) www.TheChristianPEN.com and is currently proofreading and editing a number of projects.
Julie Garmon
Julie writes with more heart than anyone I've ever met; no wonder she's one of Guideposts magazine's favorite new authors. She won the coveted Guideposts writers workshop contest in 2004 and, based on another story she wrote, was invited back for a follow-up Guideposts workshop in 2005. She has contributed to Daily Guideposts since 2003, and in addition to GP, has published in Sweet 16, Homelife, Todays Christian, and Todays Christian Woman.
Julie speaks to womens groups, teaches high school Sunday school, and adores leading others to write with heart. Her favorite people are rebellious teenagers.
Wayne Holmes
Wayne may be best known as the compiler/editor of the successful "The Heart of" book series: The Heart of a Father, The Heart of a Mother, and The Heart of a Teacher. He's also the compiler/editor for the upcoming book, Whispering in Gods Ear: True Stories Inspiring Childlike Faith. Wayne's writing has appeared in such publications as Preacher's Magazine, Come Ye Apart The Christian Communicator and The Church of God EVANGEL, and he is also the co-author of the book, Lost and Found, a children's church seven week teaching unit published by One Way Street.
Creston Mapes

Creston is both a freelance writer of marketing and magazine copy for corporate clients and a writer of novels. His clients include Coca-Cola, The Weather Channel, Focus on the Family, Johnson Controls, Haggai Institute, The Southern Company, Oracle Corporation, In Touch Ministries, BellSouth, Stein Communications, Mission to the World, and many others.
His debut novel, Dark Star: Confessions of a Rock Idol, was published by Multnomah Publishers in June of 2005. Two more books will follow in 2006 and 2007.
