I have published articles in magazines such as Guideposts, Upper Room, In Touch, HomeLife, The Christian Communicator, and Light and Life.

I've also published nonfiction short stories in compilation books, such as The Heart of a Mother, The Heart of a Teacher, and Whispering in God's Ear: True Stories Inspring Childlike Faith.

Here are links to a few of my articles:

Stay-at-Home Dad (Guideposts)

One of my articles for Guideposts was on such a unique topic--being a stay-at-home dad--that my photo ended up on the magazine's cover. I was a SAHD for two years while my children finished their preschool years. The article deals with my struggle to accept the loss of identity my job had provided me.

Who is the Greatest? (In Touch)

When it comes to following God, we often take a serious, adult approach. But Jesus said to enter the Kingdom of God, we needed to be like children. In one of my In Touch articles, I show how children can guide us in living closer with God.

12 Days of Celebrating God's Way (HomeLife)

For several years, the Christmas season frustrated me. The commercialization and hectic pace sapped my holiday spirit. But one of my pastors, Jeff Peterson-Davis, renewed the holiday for me by suggesting that I celebrate the Twelve Days of Christmas. In this article, I discuss ways to capture the spirit of Christmas by observing different celebrations between Christmas day and Epiphany (Jan. 6).
