"We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned,

so as to have the life that is waiting for us." -Joseph Campbell

I didn't start out as a writer. I hold a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Virginia Tech. For many years, I worked as an engineer for a Fortune 100 company. I eventually made my way into the marketing field and worked as a partner in a small consulting business.

My jobs required me to focus on business issues. As part of that, I spent a lot of time writing--mainly proposals, business plans, white papers, website content, and brochures. But during my off hours, I loved to read novels, and I even studied theology.

Eventually, I decided to combine my experience and my interests, and I turned to freelance, creative writing. Since then, I've written books, articles, and short stories. I believe I bring a professional approach to creative writing, and this has helped me find success with a variety of projects.

I'm a member of the American Christian Writers, a member of The Writers View on-line forum, an attendee at major writers' conferences.

I live in Georgia with my wife and two children. I'm an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church, USA, and a Sunday school teacher.

In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, read, hike, and camp.
